Barring a total collapse in September, the 2022 campaign will be the best for NC State alum Carlos Rodón in his professional career.
The lefty has 12 wins, which is one victory short of his career best of 13 set last season in his final year with the Chicago White Sox.
The White Sox let him walk after the 2021 campaign, and Rodón has continued his emergence in San Francisco. He has a career-best 201 strikeouts and, barring injury, will set personal marks in starts and innings pitched.
After signing a two-year, 44 million dollar deal with the Giants in the offseason, Rodón will command top dollar on the free agent market as he can opt of the final year of his deal due to his total number of innings pitched.
However, Rodón has repeatedly said he is thrilled to be in San Francisco. It will be interesting this winter.
