NC State alum Carlos Rodón pitched six innings and fanned seven while allowing six hits and two runs to pick up his 11th win of the season as the San Francisco Giants defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates, 5-3, Friday at Oracle Park.

Rodón is 11-6 on the campaign for the Giants. He sports a 2.95 ERA and has struck out 168 batters in his first season with San Francisco. Rodón's personal bests as a Major Leaguer in wins (13) and strikeouts (185) are within reach.

With his 134.1 innings pitched in 2022, Rodón has activated an opt-out clause in the two-year contract he signed with the Giants this past offseason and will likely become a free agent over the winter.
